The perfect postcard to send to friend to tell them you care.

I created this postcard as an original painting during the pandemic. I used acrylic paint and combined a verse from one of my late grandfathers poems called 'Friends'. It felt the perfect card to send to my friends who I hadn't been able to see so I decided to create postcards from it.

The verse reads:

My friends were always with me,
And happiness filled my heart,
At every joyful gathering,
They played the greatest part.

This grandfather was born in the early 1900's and he used to create his poetry by hand before typing them out on a trypewriter. The words on this postcard are a direct copy from his original typed poem and include his spelling mistakes as well which for me only adds to the charm.

This is the perfect postcard to send to a dear friend and pop a hug in the post.
