Parent and Children Intuitive Abstract Painting Workshop | Family Painting Workshop |Create Unique Art Together
Build your confidence with painting and learn to paint together in an intuitive abstract way.
Would you like to experience creating with your child (or children) in relaxed and friendly atmosphere?
This is a 2.5 hour abstract painting workshop in the school holidays for a parent and up to 2 children to experience creating art together.
The idea of running this type of family workshop came through my experience of running my art after school clubs and my adult intuitive painting workshops and noticing that this painting style and process is loved by for both adults and children. As a parent myself I knew that finding craft activities to do with my children was limited and so with this in mind I designed and created my parent and child family art workshops.
This is a wonderful experience for both children and parent to fully immerse themselves in learning a new skill. But it doesn’t stop there because I teach you a process which you can use again at home together.
This workshop is relaxed and calming in which I will gently guide you through different technique and processes to support you and your child(ren) in creating 6 abstract paintings each. To help you feel relaxed I demonstrate and paint along with you so that you feel comfortable and at ease.
During this working you and your children will learn texture techniques, mark-making, and explore your favourite colours using brushes, palette knives, and acrylic paint. You will learn how to create expressive paintings using an intuitive process.
BUT this workshop is more than showing you a process, I want you to feel at home, relaxed, and for you to see how creativity can nourish your souls. Which is one of the reasons I also provide homemade lemon drizzle cake, tea, coffee, apple juice or squash for the children for you all to enjoy midway through your workshop.
You don't need any experience and everyone is welcome. This painting workshop will give you an opportunity to try a something new together and enjoy a lovely bonding experience.
