I've created a few 2 hour workshops over the summer for a parent and child to experience creating art together. I know from experience of running an art after school club that my processes work for both adults and children so I thought it would be great way to combine the two. I am also offering a special offer through August where if you bring 2 children the second child is FREE.
My workshop will involve practical sessions which will support you in creating 6 intuitive abstract paintings each. We will focus on creating texture and mark making whilst finding out which colours you are drawn to. We will use brushes and palette knives with acrylic paint, and we will try using paint directly from the tube as well as paint mixed with water. We will also try using a medium added to the paint to add yet more texture! These techniques are the ones I use to create my own art and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do. We will do this in my home studio whilst listening to relaxing, calming music which makes the perfect environment for you to relax and enjoy being creative.
As this workshop is for either 2 or 3 individuals you almost get 121 tuition which is great for building you and your children's confidence and experience.
You don't need any experience, in fact most people come who haven't painted since school or for a very long time. My painting workshop will give you an opportunity to try a new skill and one that you can all try again and again at home.
Please note: children must be age 6 or over and must be accompanied by an adult
